19 Hours Later...

....my cousin and her boyfriend, Cody, finally arrived in Jacksonville to visit! We had a great time visiting with them as well as going to the beach. They also brought their sweet dog Lola. Tubs and Lola fought for the attention (surprise, surprise with Tubs...) but got along for the most part! By the way, it only took them 15 hours to drive home...

Phillip's parents came to visit a few weeks ago. We had a great time visiting with them in Jacksonville. One night, we took them to Singleton's Seafood Shack, which is by far the best place to eat seafood in Jacksonville. We were very proud of Jan for trying fried clams, in which she actually enjoyed! :) We love having company and welcome anyone else who would like to come down...

Here we go...

Ok, so we couldn't be the only family out there without a blog! Living so far away, we figured this would be the best way to keep our friends and family up to date on what's going on in our lives.

To update everyone, we are currently living in Jacksonville, FL. Phillip is working on his Masters at FSU during the summer which is what brought us to Florida....(in-state tuition is always a plus!) Once the Masters is completed, he would like to transition straight into getting his Ph.D. Needless to say, we have many years of school and moves in our near future! I am working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NE Florida. I pair adults with children who are in need of mentors and watch as children's lives are changed with positive influence. We have a sweet one year old Basset Hound puppy, named Tubs. He keeps our lives extremely interesting on a daily basis.
