Missing the Manley's

This is a special post to our dear friends, Scott and Angela. While living in Jacksonville, we met two people who have become very dear to our lives. God knew we needed a couple like Scott and Angela down here in Florida and we often thank Him for their friendship. Scott recently received a promotion which took them both up to Oxford, MS. The move day was yesterday and we want to wish them the best of luck in their new home. Although we are sad to see them go, we truly are excited for them in this new experience in their lives. Besides....who knows what June will bring.... ;)

We miss you guys....but will see you soon! :) Love you both....(and Hagen, too!!)

Annual Hunting Trip

Phillip set out a few weeks back for the Annual Wheeler Hunting Trip with my dad. This year, Tony (Phillip's dad), was also able to join in on the fun. I made a big deal to Phillip about taking pictures because every other year he has gone, he comes back with nothing. If you know me at all, you know that pictures are VERY important to me. (I have 15,005 on my computer right now...just to be exact!!) He came back with wonderful pictures that captured the whole week! Thanks Phillip...you are so good to me. :)

Dinner the first night with some of Dad's side of the family. They ate at the exact restaurant where Dad proposed to Mom 30 years ago! :)

What's a hunting trip without some proof...

Phillip and his dad drove "to town" one afternoon and stopped by the Wheeler County Courthouse. At the courthouse, they have bricks laid with all the soldiers who fought in World War I or II. Obviously all the "Pendleton's" are family. My grandfather's is in the upper left corner....CD Pendleton!

The hunters!
My grandfather in the middle, has turned into an honorary hunter these days...the limited eyesight prevents him from actually doing the hunting. He still enjoys going every year to help out when needed! He also provides the trailer! :)

Glad I have this picture...Dad, Grandad, and Phillip!

The Big Texan is a restaurant in Amarillo. They are famous for their 72oz. steak. Supposedly, if you can sit and eat the steak, baked potato, salad, roll, and appetizer, you get the meal free. See picture below.... :) This has become a tradition for Phillip to eat when going to or coming from the trip.

Quick Tour...

Phillip was flying through the ATL airport on the way to Huntsville for a quick visit. It just so happened that my dad was just getting to work for the day. Dad took Phillip on a quick tour of the front of his airplane. He was able to see the navigation system along with other random parts of the airplane that passengers never get to see. He loved it!

Big Money!!!!

Angela and I put on one heck of a garage sale 2 weeks ago. The pictures don't really do all the "stuff" we had justice. Although it was quite a bit of work, it was well worth it in the end. What didn't sell, we donated to Salvation Army! :)

Moulton Visits Jacksonville

We had a great time a few weeks ago when grandparents, aunts and uncles, and in-laws/parents visited Jacksonville. We ate at some of the local restaurants, shopped at Town Center and toured St. Augustine on Sunday. We had a great time visiting with one another and showing our "Decatur" family, Jacksonville!
