I am slowly learning a lot about my sewing machine. I'm pretty proud of myself with how I am jumping in and trying new projects (with LOTS of mom's help, of course!!) I am learning to make children's clothes so when the time comes....I am able to make many of our own kids clothing. Beau is at a great age to "practice" with. Katie is fully aware of me using her child as a practicing aide....besides, I don't think she cares that much! :)

PJ's for Disney

I didn't monogram "Beau" but did do the applique...monogram machine will be the next big purchase! :)

With the matching paci-clip. I didn't realize how necessary one of these were until we spent the week with Beau! :)

This isn't the best picture of the shorts....they have nautical
signs all over. They are my favorite!

Shorts look better "posing" with the shirts! :)

Four parks, two days, little sleep, and lots of fun encompassed our weekend. We arrived in Orlando Thursday evening for a loaded weekend full of Mickey and Beau!

Day 1: Included PHILLIP'S BIRTHDAY!!!!; listening to Wes' band parade through Magic Kingdom; riding "It's a Small World, Space Mountain, more parading, etc.!! We ended the evening with a ride over to Epcot to watch their evening show with fireworks!

First ride of the day...

With the last two pictures...All I can say is watch out for the trash cans at Disney while on one of those things!
(Sorry they are a little blurry....)

Family Picture!

Day 2: Started off in Animal Kingdom riding Mount Everest and taking a "two week long" Safari ride! ;) We left Animal Kingdom around 3:00pm and went straight to MGM for more shows. That is when we also were able to meet Mickey and Minnie and many others! We ended the evening with dinner in an reservation only restaurant....without ever making reservations...try to work through that one. (My brother-in-law gets full credit for that!) The last show we saw was called Fantasm....Fantasmic....something like that! :)

Enjoying the Safari Ride!

All Smiles...again!!

My favorite show performed at Disney...The Lion King!

Spring Break 2010

We just got back from a week and a half long vacation. It was nice to get away from Jacksonville for a few days, visit with family and relax. Our first stop Thursday evening, was my parents house. It is a good stopping point between Jax and Decatur. Mom fixed an absolutely delicious dinner including chicken fried steak (which spiked a conversation of "why do we call it chicken friend steak if its made of beef?, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a salad. It's not a "Pendleton" meal with out the salad. We also sat out for hours by the fire that night. Relaxing!

Mom and Me

Dad and Phillip

He loves us.

Friday morning we hit the ground running. We left PTC headed to Birmingham with a pit stop in Carrolton. We stopped to give the kids their Easter baskets. We stopped by the salon and followed Sarah to Lexi and Ashley's school to watch their Easter Egg hunt. Have you ever seen 60 1st grades have an Easter egg hunt? It was awesome! (We weren't able to get any pictures with Ashley because she was eating lunch with her class and didn't have time....)

Little "Jeff"

He loved the cow that pooped out brown jelly beans...mom, not so much!

Where is Lexi?!

Mom and Lex

All of us...minus Ashley

Next stop was Birmingham. We met up with our good friend Daniel, ate lunch, and visited. I didn't think to get a picture. darn. sorry d-lowe. Next stop was Moulton. We arrived in time to eat dinner and hang out with family. We had a great Easter weekend visiting with family!

Looking forward to being closer to these two!

Sweet Beau!

Great idea, Anna!

Monday morning we woke up and headed to Oxford, MS. If you haven't heard, Phillip was accepted into the Ph.D. program at Ole Miss. GO PHILLIP!! We will be moving "north" in June. We are very excited to start this new journey in our lives. We can't wait to see what Oxford brings us. We spent Monday and Tuesday trying to find a place to live. The last house on Tuesday was the one we fell in love with...talk about last minute!! The first picture is from a few months back...I just couldn't post it yet because the news wasn't final.

Congrats Phillip!

Our "soon to be" new home!

Monday night was spent in Tunica with my parents. Tunica is about an hour and a half drive from Oxford. My parents had a coupon for a $30 room. The room was nice and we had a blast. Monday night dinner consisted of an "all you can eat" buffet. Our favorite!! To top off the night...I won $80 on a slot machine!!

Group picture before dinner..

"All you can eat Buffet"...yumm!!

Tuesday we headed back to Decatur to spend a few more days. We hung out mostly with our sweet nephew Beau. Such a sweet boy!

Big Boy!

Chillin' with Uncle Phillip

Happy Baby..

Diggin' in the dirt...

Aunt "Mamy" made this jon jon for Beau.

Our last stop on the "tour of the southeast" was Peachtree City to hang out with my parents for a few days. This was our rest and relaxation period before heading back to Jax on Sunday.

Even Tubs enjoyed the rest...

What's a visit to PTC without a smoked butt..

Random picture....I know. Georgia had a record high pollen count this year.
Here is proof..

Exhale....Just posting this makes me tired. All in all we had a fantastic vacation. Our goal was to get as much "family time" in as possible. From all the pictures, I believe we were successful!
