Auburn vs. Arkansas

Better late than never....right? I've been meaning to share our weekend for the past couple days now but time keeps flying by! Anyway....we were able to sneak away last weekend and travel to Auburn for the game. We had a blast (of course...) visiting with friends, tailgating, and of course going to the game!

Walking to the game...

Can't believe this is the only picture I got of the awesome tailgate after the game. We had close to 40 people there at one point!!

Thankful....

Every time the fall season comes around, it always makes me think about how thankful I am for everything I'm provided with on a daily basis. I'm not sure if it's the beauty of God's presence around us with leaves changing, cooler air, etc., or if it's the season of Thanksgiving that makes me think constantly each year. Sometimes (often times for me...) I feel like we get so caught up in our daily lives and the hustle of everything around us that we forget to stop and thank God for daily blessings. I forget to realize that even things as simple as running water or shoes on our feet is more than what many people in this world have. I tend to focus on what I don't have, ie: new clothes, new car, children, a career....and how draining this can be sometimes!

How easy is it to do this though? You are probably thinking what brought on this random post. A conversation that I had with a very close friend today is what sparked my thoughts. We were talking about how I am placed at my current job for a reason and how God has a plan for our lives. Even though it sometimes feels as though we have no idea why we are in certain positions or why we go through difficult times in our lives....God still has a plan. How thankful should we be for this? Seriously...think about it. God has a plan....He has everything mapped out already for us. All we have to do is follow him, love him, and allow him to shine in our lives on a daily basis. How stress-free could we be living if we would just put all our faith and hope in him?!

This season, I'm thankful for a God that is so incredible loving through good times and bad, that he never leaves us....even for a second. I probably should have waited and posted this closer to Thanksgiving....but it was on my mind and I wanted to share. :)
