Double Decker

My parents were in town this last weekend for Oxford's annual Double Decker Arts Festival. We started out the weekend with the 5K early Saturday morning followed by an afternoon of eating and shopping at the Square with all the vendors. We had a great time! Already looking forward to next year...we've already made plans to run the 10K next go-around. Right mom and dad?! :)

Post race.....

All decked out in his outfit!

Double Decker!

It's Double Decker (big arts festival) weekend here in Oxford and Lee has a new outfit to wear (courtesy of his momma and her seeing machine!). This is his first "homemade" outfit and I think it turned out pretty cute! TONS more pictures to come from the weekend....

Working Hard!!

Lee is one lucky little man! He gets to spend the entire summer at home with his daddy....only problem is, Phillip doesn't get done with classes for another week. In the mean time, we are bouncing little Mr. Lee back and forth between babysitters, home with dad (inbetween classes) and working with his momma!

Luckily my job is very laid back and allows me to bring him up there from time to time when we don't have anyone to watch him. The other day he was hanging out with me for a while and fell asleep on top of my desk. Not very comfortable if you ask me, but this kid will sleep ANYWHERE! I thought it was precious! and, seriously?? I love having him there...makes the days FLY by!

Favorite things!

These have quickly become a few of our favorite things since Lee's arrival! :)

Gripe Water is WONDERFUL!
Strongly recommend to help ease the discomfort of gas, colic, etc..!
We were given this portable changing pad at one of our baby showers. I have used it several times....in the car, in restaurants, etc..
The swing is a life-saver! WE LOVE IT....and so does he!
The sleep sheep is great.  It helps him relax and get into the "sleeping" mode with ocean sounds. It only stays on for about 45 minutes and then automatically cuts off. It's also portable and rather small so easy to carry on trips, etc..
The Medela Pump in Style is GREAT! I strongly recommend to any of my new mommy friends. It's a double electric pump. I'm going on 8 weeks of using it. It's GREAT!
A night-light. Yes...very random...and minor to some...but we use it EVERY night. This keeps us from having to turn on the over head light during our nighttime feedings. And look how cute it is?!

Growing Boy!

Look how I've grown!!

Couples Shower

This last weekend we hosted a couples shower for some dear friends of ours. What a blast! We had a great time. Phillip thought this was the perfect excuse to go buy a brand new smoker and smoke some BBQ. So off to Home Depot he went as well as Big Star (yes....Big Star) to purchase 19lbs. of Boston Butt.  It was absolutely delicious I must admit. We had a great time and the sweet couple got some cute things! I think we did a great job (with help from sweet friends AND Pinterest) hosting a party for 30 people...if I do say so myself! ;)

(I bought these Ticki Torches at Freds for $1....YES only $1!!!)

More Smiles! :)

...sorry these posts just don't get old! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Easter Weekend

Sorry I'm a little late in posting this. Haven't really had time until I started back to work to write on the blog. Imagine that! ;) Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend was spent in Moulton visiting family. We had a great visit and enjoyed Lee getting to meet all his new family!

He was passed around to lots of people....he enjoyed it as long as he could sleep or eat whenever he wanted! :)

We also spent time outside enjoying the beautiful day. We had an egg hunt....

And also did some face painting!

And last but certainly not least, the cousins were able to spend some time together!

(This is probably my all time favorite picture of Lee...ever. HILARIOUS!)

Moby Wrap

A friend down the street let me borrow her Moby Wrap for a little while to see if it would work for us.

WE LOVE IT! :)

Every time I put Lee in it, he goes straight to sleep. How wonderful!! I know we don't need to get used to this for nap time, but for extra fussy days, it's GREAT! I strongly recommend to all my "new mommy" friends!

All Smiles!

Lee's First Easter!

We woke up Sunday morning to hunt for Lee's Easter basket. We found it filled with lots of fun things from the Easter Bunny! :)

We then got dressed and headed on to church!

After church we snapped a few pictures!

Lee's Easter goodies! I'd say he did pretty good this year.

Hope everyone had a very happy Easter!

Ashley and Triston visit Oxford!

Sarah brought Ashley and Triston to visit over their Spring Break while Lexi was at the beach with a friend. This was their first time meeting Lee. Boy...were they excited......

Ashley was so excited that she couldn't even make it home before holding him.

We did all sorts of things while they were here. Triston heped Phillip make cinnamon popcorn....

and Ashley helped me make pancakes!

We decided to get a little creative and make Mickey ears! :)

We ate at one of our favorites, Handy Andy....

And of course, did some shopping around the Square!

Last but (certainly) not least, Triston went fishing (TWICE) with Uncle Phillip and his friend Roman. Phillip was jealous in that Triston caught 3 fish while Phillip didn't catch a single one!

We had a GREAT time visiting and can't wait for them to come back.
We love you, Ashley and Triston!
