This morning my quiet time was all about fear and how the devil tries to use fear, on a daily basis, to steer us from the Lord. I thought this paragraph was a neat explanation of God's view on fear and how if we put all our faith in God, then there is no reason to be afraid. Just thought I'd share! ;)
"All throughout the Bible, God instructs people to not fear. Though we may feel sometimes this is easier said than done, it is no coincidence that when you add up all the instances in Scripture where it is instructs, "do not fear," "fear not," and "be not afraid" they total 365 occurrences--one occurrence for every day of the year. Perhaps this is God's way of telling us never will we face a day that we will ever have a valid reason to be afraid. May our faith in Jesus shine so bright, extinguishing all ungodly fears, that those who don't know Jesus will marvel at our boldness and know, as the Sanhedrin did after witnessing the boldness of Peter and John, that we have been with Jesus."
Ok so I may have a sliiight obsession with pictures.....
.....as the total number of "items" is how many pictures I have on my computer at home. At least you can say I've done a good job documenting EVERYTHING that has gone on in my life so far! :)
A couple weeks ago we traveled over to Peachtree City for a good friends wedding! We had a blast the whole weekend laying by the pool, visiting family, and dancing the night away at the wedding.
We weren't sure how the traveling would go since this was the first time traveling with both dogs and a child in tow. I sat in the back with two. While this one.....
...sat up front. The traveling actually went pretty well considering how we were pact in.
We spent Friday by the pool as well as a golf cart ride. We had a great day!
Saturday we did a little shopping and then the wedding. The weekend went by too fast (of course!). We are looking forward to going back VERY soon!
Lee loves fortune cookies! ;)
The beautiful bride!!!
At the reception visiting with great friends!!
With the groom and friend since what? Kindergarten?!
On the way back, we stopped off in Birmingham to visit with Anna and Duncan and to meet sweet Sadie. What a precious puppy!!
This sweet girl turned two years old yesterday. We can't believe it's been a year since we've gotten her. She's turned into such a good little puppy, and adores her baby brother! She (and Tubs of course!) celebrated with a bowl full of yogurt with frosted flakes on top.
She also got all of her toys out of the basket and played for a good 30 minutes. She's a mess!
He is quickly becoming obsessed with the puppy dogs. Anytime he's in a bad mood, the minute he sees Tubs or Haley he instantly starts to smile! I love it!
If you are addicted to pinterest like I am, this may look familiar. Phillip had some leftover green onions tonight after dinner. He was actually the one to remind me about my pinterest pin from earlier in the week. We'll see how this works. Apparently, all you have to do is submerge the ends in water and they will grow like crazy. Only time will tell! Don't you worry, I'll be sure to keep you updated. :-)
Met in '05, married in '07! We have two bassets named Tubs and Haley. We added a fifth member to our family, a sweet baby boy, in February 2012. War Eagle!
