Thankful

To me, this is a sign of a night well spent!

So glad I had the opportunity today to play with my sweet boy and put him to bed. Our prayers are with those in Connecticut that didn't have that opportunity today. Absolutely breaks my heart to think of those mommas that are longing for just one more night of goodnight kisses from their sweet babies. Prayers are with them.

BFF's

Ms. Daisy was telling me today when I picked Lee up that he and his friend Jackson, are always together! He loves this little guy and apparently crawls around following him all day long.

I walked in the other day to pick him up and here they were. I thought it was too cute not to blog about. I love that Lee is able to get social interaction on a daily basis with others his own age!

Daycare boo boo

First, of many, daycare boo boos occurred this week. Lee fell while climbing up on a crib and got this wonderful shiner on his forehead.

Ms. Daisy, his teacher, felt awful about it and apologized profusely. I assured her that we weren't upset and that we would add this bruise to the tally. We also assured her that he's a boy and bumps and bruises only makes him tough! :)

Lee's Baby Dedication

We had Lee's baby dedication at church last Sunday. It was such a special time for us as a family. Lee did wonderfully and smiled at the congregation throughout the pastor talking. Brother Jeff did a great job and truly made it special for us. The church does a small slideshow at the beginning. After that, we got up and the pastor talked for a little while about the importance of dedicating our child to The Lord as well as leading a life to where Lee can see Christ through us as parents. Thank you Lord for our blessing!!

We had some family there as well that made it an extra special time for us.

Thank you to everyone who drove over! We love you!

And for some reason, we missed out on pictures with Karen and Farol, Ma Faye and Ray Ray.

When we got home, I couldn't help but snap just a few pictures of Lee in his outfit. Sweet boy!

I have a feeling....

....it's gonna be a good season this year, y'all! I can already taste some yummy duck poppers in my near future. Way to go, Phillip and Roman!

RSV to Penicillin Alergy

What a week! Ugh. We started out the week at the doctor getting tested for RSV. A set of twins in Lee's daycare tested positive and Lee was showing signs, so his pediatrician thought it was best to being him in to get tested. Thankfully he tested negative but was given amoxicillin for the bad sinus infection he had. A couple days later we were back at the doctor with this horrific rash...

Phillip is allergic to penicillin so we thought Lee may be also. Low and behold....he is. Poor baby looked awful! Along with more teeth breaking through up top, he also has this nasty cold, plus yucky rash to deal with.

Nothing will stop this boy from having a good time....as you can see below - he and nana were having a great time waiting at the doctors office!

Oxford Christmas Parade!

Last Monday we went up to the square for the Oxford Christmas Parade. The weather could not have been better and we had a blast!

Lee was very festive! Until he realized he was wearing a hat and then wanted nothing to do with it...

Waiting for the parade to start and having a blast together!

Hotty Toddy!

One of my personal favorite floats! I love trains!

What's a parade without a tractor or ten gazillion! ;)

Lee's reaction to the Ole Miss band...he didn't quite know what to think!

He was so exhausted from all the fun he fell asleep as I was getting his PJ's out of his closet to change him. Bless his heart!

Merry Christmas, from Oxford!

Bucket List

So Phillip and I decided to make a bucket list is things we want to do before leaving Oxford next year.

Some of them are funny, some serious, some minute, and some, well, not really sure how we'll get to it. Anyway....6 (hopefully) months and counting. We better get going!

Memphis!

We went with Phillip's parents and sister/brother-in-law up to Menphis last weekend. The in-laws are purchasing a new piano and found a place in Memphis they would like to purchase it from.

We met them at the hotel in Oxford before heading out Saturday morning. Th kids got some great play time in together!

We then went straight to the piano store where they could test out whichever piano they were interested. We met up with some more family and headed to Corky's for lunch. (We wanted the commissary, but with an hour wait and hungry kiddos, that wasn't going to work!) Corky's was still delicious!

Beau and I had never seen the ducks march, so of course, we headed off to the Peabody after lunch. We had to wait a little while but we were finally able to see the ducks march off to the elevator to their home on the top floor of the hotel. (If you are unfamiliar with the history/tradition of the duck march at the Peabody....google it. It's too long to explain on here...)

While waiting for the ducks to march we were able to walk around for a bit. And guess who we saw?!?! SANTA!

After saying bye to Tony/Jan and Beau, we decided to go back in and walk around a bit more. So glad we did! We explored the top floor to see where the ducks actually live when not downstairs in the fountain.

We also got one more picture with Santa as a family!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
