AU vs. GA

Last weekend was spent in Auburn for the GA game. What a game. I know you've heard about it so I'm not even going to go there. We had a blast. Friday when we got there it was raining. We still were able to make it down to the bon fire and enjoy the chili cookoff with friends and family!

Saturday, our good friends Melinda and Thomas came to town. They were already in ATL for a work function and decided to drive over to visit. SO GLAD they did. We don't get to see them NEARLY enough. They live in Dallas so the distance is quite a ways. Every time we see them though its like we don't skip a beat. We pick back up and LOVE the visit. We are already making plans for our next trip.....hmmm!!

Celebrating the huge win!!

School Pictures 2013

School pictures have arrived! They actually turned out pretty good. These pictures are probably a little blurry, but you get the picture. I was very happy with them!
I made this little collage from last year to this year. My how this little boy has grown. Make him STOP!

Meeting Harrison...

The weekend after we went to Moulton for the weekend to meet the newest member of our family, Harrison. He's a sweet baby with pretty blonde hair!

We got LOTS of snuggles in that weekend with the precious new baby!
Lee was very interested in him and was actually really good with him. He wanted to touch his hands and feet mostly.
These two little ones play well together....most of the time. ;)

Lee loved holding Harrison and was very good with him. I was pleasantly surprised. He just sat there real still and smiled. Sweet big cousin!
Sunday morning was spent playing outside before heading home. We didn't make it to church as daddy was feeling a little under the weather.
Great weekend!

WHB-11/5/13

Our sweet little nephew, Harrison, was born on November 5, 2013. We weren't able to be there the day of but went to meet him the weekend after. Lee did wear his "big cousin" shirt to school on Tuesday though..
Sweet baby!
Proud big brother and sister!

Welcome to the family, Wesley Harrison Black!!

Caledonia Pumpkin Patch 2013

We decided a couple weekends ago to visit the Caledonia Pumpkin Patch about 10 mins north of our house. We had so much fun! Lee loved riding these little tractors. He almost was able to peddle himself. I see a possible birthday present....
I just happened to snap this picture quickly. He will usually smile for the camera just once. If you don't get the picture immediately, he most likely will not do it again. Got it this time!

Lee loved playing in the bin full of corn kernals. He was used to this from the other patch we've been to. He loved it and definitely spent the most time here.
We also rode the little ride together. He just sat quietly the whole time watching and waving to people!
At first he wasn't too sure about the cotton bin. He quickly become comfortable and loved walking all over it.

He wasn't too sure about the swing but LOVED the tractors that you could climb on. I swear...this boy may just be a farmer when he grows up! ;)

Can't wait to see how much we've grown by next year! :)

Spirit Week

Lee's school had Spirit Week the week of Halloween along with all the other festivities. Of course we participated EVERY day!

Monday was crazy sock day...
(Lee's socks have little spiders all over them...)

Tuesday was picture day.
They coupled this with "grands" day.

Lee's grandparents came and read the class a story!

 Wednesday was "Nerd" day.
You can't see it in this picture, but Lee's hat says "nerd" across the top!

Thursday, being Halloween, they were supposed to wear they favorite Halloween Shirt. I don't have a picture, but here is one of him "trick or treating" in front of Phillip's building at school!

Friday was dress like your teacher day. They were just supposed to wear the color smock that their teacher wears daily. Our color this year is green. I decided to sew him up a little smock to wear to look just like Ms. Chandra. She LOVED it!

Halloween 2013

I love buying Lee gifts. I would rather buy him something any day of the week over myself. I put together this little Halloween bucket for him to have on Halloween. He actually got it a couple days early as to be able to enjoy the gifts through Halloween. He LOVED his flashlight the best!
The flashlight came with different tops that shows different things (pumpkin, spider, witch, etc.) He loved it!
On Halloween morning, we stopped buy to pick up all the teachers at his school a dozen donuts to enjoy for breakfast! They loved the extra treat. And how cute were these?! Krispy Kreme is literally 2 miles from our house. Not good...
Lee went trick or treating with his classmates on campus the week of Halloween. He came home with a BUCKET FULL of goodies. We STILL have candy left over!

Happy Halloween from our little Scarecrow!!

MUW Fall Concert 2013

(Yes...I realize I'm over a month behind in posting....I'll get better. Promise!)

Phillip had his very first Choral Concert at the W last month. What a success it was! Everyone was EXTREMELY pleased with what they heard and how Phillip has brought this choir department along in just 3 short months. Not really surprised honestly...

His men's chorus opened the show and processed in singing a spiritual. Great opener!
Next up was his women's chorus. GREAT job with Ava Maria, ladies! :) Last year, there were under 10 girls in this women's choir and look how its expanded just since then. Wonderful recruiting done by Dr. Stockton!
Last but certainly not least was his Chamber Choir. They ended the show with a bang and did an outstanding job!

Way to go Dr. Stockton and students!!! Bravo!!

Happy Monday!

Pumpkin-Palooza

Last weekend we went over to Starkville Friday evening for their annual Pumpkin-Palooza. We had a blast! We met up with a friend of mine that I work with and her little boy. All the shops downtown were set up for trick or treaters and they had bouncers, food, etc.. We had fun!
Lee the scarecrow had a great time as well! :)

This was Lee's first time officially trick or treating by himself. He went up to her and said "treat"! :)

Lee and Camden loved each other! They hit it off from the beginning!

Lee was NOT a fan of the cheerleaders. Seriously kid....

Happy Halloween from Lee and Camden!
