Pinterest Alert

I was in the mood to try a new "Pinterest" pin over the weekend. I was really excited about this one. I thought it was going to turn out wonderfully....


Have you seen it?? It's a pretty popular pin on Pinterest right now.....


It failed. I didn't like it one bit. First off, the smell never came out like William Sonoma and secondly, after it had been simmering for a while, it just smelled like burnt rosemary on the stove. Darn.

Lee meets the Bunny!

Lee met the Easter bunny on Saturday and LOVED him!! He never waves to anyone, but I caught him waving to the bunny before we even got in line. :)


He was obsessed. He laughed and giggled when sitting on his lap. He had such a great time!! :)

Don't Mess with Texas!

We took a family trip to Texas last week and had a GREAT time!! Phillip had a music conference over in Dallas so Lee and I decided to tag along. We stayed with our good friends in Dallas most of trip. Lee and I did sneak away one night and go stay with my aunt. This was the first time Lee got to meet his great-grandmother and second cousins, aunts and uncles. Such a fun trip!!!


He wasn't nearly as impressed as I thought he should be entering Texas for the first time.




















Lee LOVED cousin time! We both had such a great time at my aunts. We don't get to see our Texas family NEARLY enough.











I think Lee's favorite part about Melinda and Thomas' house was their dog, Harley. He squealed and laughed every time she came around.

Saturday we went to a St. Party's Day festival in Dallas. Such a fun and different way to celebrate this year! Thank you Trujillo's and Lewis' for having us for the week!! We had a GREAT visit!

12 Months (a month late..)

So I completely forgot to do a 12 month post. Honestly, Amy?! You've done so well for 11 months and this last one the ball is dropped. Opps!! Better late than never..


Things to remember from month 12:
-Lee is completely off the bottle. Even at night!! Yay!! So proud of him. It was by far, the easiest transition we've made.
-He usually takes a sippy right before bed, but lately, he's been on and off with that as well. Such a big boy!
-The three things he MUST have to go to sleep are his sleep sheep, paci, and blanket.
-Lee weighs 25lbs at 12 months
-He isn't walking yet, but is so close! He can stand by himself some and pulls up on everything. He took a couple steps on his own last night....
-Lee is in 12-18 month clothes
-Lee celebrate his first Valentines Day this year! He missed it last year by 2 weeks. He took home-made valentines to school.
-we celebrated his 1st birthday a couple weeks early due to schedules. We decided on a Mickey theme with his HUGE obsession with the mouse. We had lots of friends and family show up. We had a great time!
-Lee's favorite foods right now are fruits, blueberry muffins, beef ravioli, and blueberry waffles
-Lee can say "no", "mama", "dada", "dog", and "book". He also LOVES shaking his finger no at the dogs.

That's about it from month 12!! Nothing too wild and crazy...just waiting on the day he decides he wants to walk! :) love my boy and LOVE this past year. It's been so much fun!!!!

St. Patrick's Day!

We had green pj's, a green church outfit, and green play clothes. We were armed and ready this year for St.. Patty's day! What a fun day!

Quick Moulton Visit

Last weekend we went to Moulton for a night to celebrate Mattie Rae's 6th birthday! We got in Friday night and Lee had a great time playing with his cousin, Beau...


....And Saturday morning, he had a great time playing with Emma Greer!





Daddy/son duet! :) it was lovely...


Saturday afternoon, we went to the skate castle to celebrate MR's 6th birthday! Can't believe she's 6 years old.


We played in the giant ball pit...


Did a little skating....


Ate LOTS of cake and ice cream...


Visited with family....


Danced with the birthday girl...


Played with cousins....


And showered MR with LOTS of love!


After the party, we went to Katie and Wes' and ate some home-made pizza. Absolutely delicious. But before dinner, we cruised around the driveway! :)








We had a great visit!! Until next time...

1 Year Check Up!

Lee had his one year check up last Thursday! It wasn't an extremely fun visit for him, except for playing in the waiting room before going back.




(Yes, his hair is ALWAYS that crazy....no, we can't do a thing with it!) We went back and they weighed Lee, and took his height and head circumference. Lee weighed in at 25.10 lbs and was 31in. tall. He is in the 85% for both height and weight. We got into the room and after a few goldfish to hold us over, we decided to read a book about the jungle!








Doctor Sanford came in and poked an prodded. Lee was NOT a fan and especially didn't like him looking in his ears. He screamed more than normal but we quickly realize why....double ear infection in both ears. Yuck!! We had no idea. After some medicine, nasty shots, and a Mickey sticker, we were out the door. Other than the ear infection, doctor Sanford was very pleased. Lee even said "book" for him during the appointment! Doc was impressed. ;)




Of course we met daddy for some yaya's after the appointment. Delicious!!




He was asleep before we got home. Slept until 6:45pm that night (when I went to wake him for dinner..). Poor baby! Hope he feels better soon!!
