On our way to Birmingham last Thursday (more on why later...), we stopped over at the in-laws house to drop the dog off as well as visit with family for the evening.
Enjoying the morning heat!
Shooting clays...testing out the new gun!
Yes, I also shot a clay....(nevermind that mine was stuck in a tree and not flying over my head) My father-in-law called me Annie Oakley! ;) Next time, I'm going for the flying ones!
Precious Beau!
A tradition has started!! We spent last Friday through Sunday in Birmingham celebrating Amy and Scott's baby girl that should be arriving in late October. We decided a long time ago that we would do a "girls weekend" for each baby's momma in the group! ;) A group of 5 couples all met up at our friends Katie and Drew's house Friday evening. The girls stuck around Birmingham Saturday and the guys traveled to Wetumpka and kayaked down the Coosa River. (The only pictures we received from the guys all weekend was some of them sleeping...seeing how that would be slightly creepy to put on the blog, I decided to leave those out!)
The girls eating lunch at O'Carr's in Birmingham
Helen with an unidentified piece of fruit...by the look on our faces after consumption, I think its safe to say we aren't fans! ;)
So this was probably the most entertaining part of the whole trip. Us girls, trying to open a bottle of champagne. At one point we had it inside the kitchen pointed towards Katie's class cabinet....after seeing that thing fly towards the neighbor's house, I sure am glad we decided to move outside!! (probably not as much as Katie was though....) :)
