HAPPY 1/2 BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY!!! (8/26)
Seriously?! Half a year old?? Couldn't be.
Some things to remember from month 6:
-Lee started daycare this month. He did great and has adjusted very well. He lights up every time he sees his teachers, Ms. Daisy and Ms. Jo. We (most of the time) get great reports about how happy of a baby he is and how he rarely ever cries.
-He is still going strong on solids. Some of his favorite foods right now are bananas, green beans, pears, and sweet carrots.
-Lee is still eating cereal mixed with fruit in the mornings along with a 2-3 oz. bottle. The rest of his bottles consist of about 7oz.. For dinner, he eats one veggie and one fruit and a little water to help wash it all down. We cut out the rice in the bottle before bed as we noticed it wasn't really helping him sleep longer.
-He is rolling over from front to back, back to front, etc.. He is never still anymore and loves to just roll around when he's on the floor. He is scooting his way to wherever he wants to go. He is pulling his legs up underneath him like he wants to crawl, just not there yet.
-As far as we can tell, he weighs about 20-21lbs at this point in time. BIG boy!!
-He is still in a size 3 diaper although we bought some 4's to see how they fit and he can wear them also. We will probably switch over to 4's once we are done with the current box of 3's we are on now.
-Lee was introduced the sippy cup this month. I found a 4m+ at Wal-Mart and thought we'd give it a try. He loves it! He knows what it's for and knows how to use it. He still has a little trouble getting it tilted to his mouth, but for the most part, he is doing really well with it! Proud momma!!
-Lee LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Like seriously. We had 6 month pictures taken recently and we had a stuffed Mickey to make him smile.
-I feel like it was just over night that Lee started sitting up. He's a champ now. He'd rather be sitting up than anyting else!
-He is now sitting in a highchair at restaurants. He feels like such a big boy and is much more pleasant while eating.
-Lee tried Baby Mum Mums this month for the first time. He loved them!! He loves the banana taste but also loves how they make such a great "banging" noise when hit against his high chair! ;)
-Lee's vocabulary as of right now consists of "dada". He LOVES his "dada!"
-Teething has hit us full force and I know its just a matter of weeks before we have our first tooth peak through. We can tell when his mouth is really hurting him as he becomes rather "clingy" and fussy. A little tylenol or orajel and he's (usually) back to normal.
Below are just a few snapshots from our 6 month photo shoot. We started out with our paci but were able to quickly get rid of it.
