Off to work:...
.....with mom we go!! Today Lee came to work with me for the last hour or so I was there. It was Friday, I was missing my boy, so why not?! :) Thankfully, I have a job where I can do this anytime I want. It's nice. I Love it! We had a blast and of course, all the ladies at work LOVED seeing him.

We dug in my "to be shredded" box and pulled out LOTS of papers that were so much fun to play with. We tore them to pieces and of course, tried eating some.

I'll say our all time favorite activity was playing with post-it notes. No joke! This kept us entertained for a long time!! I'd stick them to the wall....he'd tear them down. Did this about 10 times.

We also created our very first piece of art work. Picasso?? I think so. ;)

Did I get any work done? Absolutely not. Did we have fun? Absolutely. Happy Friday everyone!

It was time.....
One night, as I was folding clothes on Lee's floor, I had Lee sitting in his bed playing with toys. I hear some giggles, look up and I see a sweet smile looking at me over the edge of the crib!

It became very evident to me that it was time to lower the crib mattress....obviously! My little baby is growing up!!!! :(

When did this happen?!??

We love food!
We were told at our 6 month wellness visit that by 8 months we need to be transitioning to more of a 3-a-day eating schedule (breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks in-between!) I was a bit worried about how this would play out but to my surprise its worked itself out quite nicely. Lee wakes up and has "breakfast" which consists of a fruit and a 4oz bottle. He then has a snack around 10am (1/2 a bottle), then "lunch" which normally consists of a veggie and the other half of his bottle. He then has another "snack" around 3 and then "dinner" around 6:15. Dinner usually consist of a meat and veggie with something sweet for dessert. Tonight we had turkey with sweet potatoes and then a medley of apples/oranges/bananas for dessert. He loves dinner time!
BUT, ill have to say his favorite snack/after dinner treat is a banana flavored mum mum. He loves these things!! We've been working on picking the pieces up from his baby tray and putting them to our mouth. He's been doing soo well with it. So proud. ;)

Tonight we decided to just bite into a whole piece of one.

It was hilarious. He did great of course and chewed/swallowed the whole thing up!!

We may be having some difficulty in other areas but I'd say we have this eating thing down pat! :) Next up.....yogurt bites!

WE'VE GOT TEETH!
Finally!! I didn't think this day would ever come. We officially have 2 teeth!! They have broken the skin at the same time (ugh) for Lee this week (we think officially Tuesday). Can you say Tylenol and chew toys?! Bless his little heart. His mouth has been so sore. He hasn't been extra fussy this week we just haven't been able to get near his mouth.

These teethers have been wonderful. He chews and chews on them after dinner every night. We keep them coming, rotating them in the freezer to keep them cold. He's been a good sport, ill have to admit. Two teeth at once....and his very first two at that. Ouch!

1st Birthday Preparations...
So I may be a little crazy...ya think? But while mom was in town this weekend I wanted to play with her silhouette cameo cutting machine and this was the only thing I had on hand to make something for.....

....but why not go ahead and start preparing for the first birthday, right?! ;) I'll give you one guess for the theme!

Laundry Detergent 1/2 Gone!
...we litereally JUST now ran out of our first of two buckets of laundry detergent! Can't believe it. We were able to fill two buckets with what we made on 7/1/12 and we've gone through exactly one as of today. Wow!! $15 well spent, I'd say.

(Just noticed my half painted toes made it into the picture....opps!)

Cotton!!
I have to travel (locally) for my job quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of it except for this time of year. I LOVE looking at all the cotton fields around here. I know we'll miss this place when we move and all the unique aspects of the land and area.

This tractor is just sitting in front of one of my client's homes. I thought it was too cute....had to take a picture of course. ;) I think my favorite part is reading all the messages the farmers paint on the sides of the cotton. Some make sense....others not so much....

"Farmers Built this Country"

"Walk humbly and carry a big stick"

"The end is near the end".....??
Carseat Swap!

Last week we had an accidental car seat swap at daycare. I arrived to get Lee and didn't see our seat. Opps! It was hilarious! One of the other little girls grandmother had come to pick her up and accidentally picked up the wrong seat. After a quick phone call, we decided it was easier to just swap for the evening. The next morning, the note above was in our chair waiting on us.

So of course, we wanted to leave her a note just to let her know it was completely fine. No big deal at all! Love all these new experiences that comes with being a mom. So fun!
Night out!
Friday evening, Phillip's parents came into town to babysit for us while we went out with friends (THANK YOU!!!!). Some of our good friends got engaged and wanted us there to celebrate with them. We had such a great night out with our friends....congrats guys! ;)

This was the only picture I took while they were here....but such a good one it is! Lee sure does love his papa!
Hotty Toddy!
At Saturday's Ole Miss game, Phillip was asked to conduct the National Anthem for one of the choirs he assists with. Of course, he agreed. The day before they met in the stadium to practice. Lee and I met them there...to watch them since we wouldn't be at the game Saturday.

Lee loved watching his daddy conduct. He seriously just sat and watched/listened to them sing. Of course all the girls loved it! ;)

Although we are ready to be settled and done with school, we are enjoying this time in our lives. We get to do some pretty neat things. Oh yeah....Hotty Toddy! ;)
The Pumpkin Patch
Trying to narrow 80 pictures into a single blog post is hard. Seriously. So below is just the down and dirty version of our visit to the Pumpkin Patch a couple weeks ago. We went over to Moulton for the weekend and Saturday, we went over to Tate Farms in Huntsville and visited the Pumpkin Patch with our cousins! We had a GREAT time and are already looking forward to going again next year!

We had a GREAT time. Looking forward to next year!!!

Trying to get a picture of everyone smiling of 3 under the age of 5 is hard....seriously.

We did ALL sorts of things at this Pumpkin Patch. Probably one of the best I've ever been to. Lee rode in a swing for the first time. He LOVED it. It was so fun!

We met farm animals. Lee wasn't too sure about the rabbit.....

We played in a big bin of corn. So fun!

We took a nap with Mickey.....

We rode a corn train.....again, LOVED it!

We rode a hay ride out to a real pumpkin patch......

....and picked our very own (and very first) pumpkin!

Lee got his very own size pumpkin for his room! It quickly became a chew toy....but what doesn't now a days! ;)

Bed time....
Hand-Me-Downs!
So Lee is set for Fall/Winter!!!! We went to Decatur this last weekend and racked up on some adorable hand me downs. Thank you, Keri and Katie!!!!

So excited. Then, when we got back, our sweet neighbor had a bag of clothes waiting on us.

Everything is so cute and I can't wait for him to wear it all. Literally, the kid needs nothing. So blessed!
