7 Months!

Wow....7 months old already. Can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was past my due date thinking he would NEVER come. And now he's 7 months old?! Doesn't seem right. I was going through more of his clothes that he's outgrown the other day and forgot how small he actually was. We love our sweet boy so much!

Some things to remember from month 7:
-Lee now weighs approximately 22 (ish) lbs. He is 26 inches in length at this point.
-Lee got his first, fairly high, fever this month. First time we've had to battle any kind of illness. Pretty good, I think since we just started month 3 of daycare! While we were at Auburn, he battled a 102 degree fever. Luckily we were tailgating with a nurse, so she was able to keep an eye on him.
-He is SO close to crawling. Ever day I pick him up from daycare, his teachers say he is getting closer and closer. It's only a matter of weeks, I believe.
-He has not cut a tooth as of yet. We are in BIG TIME teething mode, but no tooth yet. I'll be SO happy once this first one makes its grand entrance!
-lee is now eating 4-5 8oz. bottles every day. He also eats either yogurt, cereal, or a fruit for breakfast, a fruit or veggie for lunch, and some sort of "combined food" for dinner. This is all supplemented with his bottle of course. Doc said we need to be transitioned to more of a 3 meal a day schedule by 8-9 months.
-Lee is fully on stage 2 foods. His favorites so far is turkey with sweet potatoes and chicken with veggies. For breakfast, he loves apples with mixed fruit also.
-He HATES peas and isn't a fan of peaches. Although, he tolerates those more than peas. Those are really the only two foods he doesn't like.
-Lee now can take his paci out of his mouth, play with it, drop it, pick it up and put it back in his mouth. Although sometimes we get the wrong side, he at least knows what to do with it.
-Lee also is now able to feed himself fully with his bottle. He loves holding it and feeding himself. Mr. Independent!
-He can stand if he's holding onto something although I don't really trust him much right now. His legs buckle and he falls easily.
-His favorite toy right now is his stuffed Mickey and his red car that he can ride in.
-Lee can say "dada" but isn't interested in doing so very much. He recognizes when we leave the room and DOES NOT like to be left alone. As long as one of us (including the dogs) are present, he's good to go.
-He has somewhat of a shy personality at times (believe it or not....). It's so cute. He'll just bury his little face in one of our shoulders. So sweet!
-Lee is still obsessed with Mickey Mouse. So much that in foreseeing a theme for his first birthday. :)
-Lee is in a size 4 diaper and is in size 9-12 month clothes.
-Lee still LOVES his puppy dogs, Tubs and Haley. He loves to watch them play together.
-Lee can say "mama" and "dada" but isn't very consistent with it yet.
-Lee LOVES to have a good time. He finds humor in the smallest of things and I love that about his little personality.
-Besides Mickey and his red car, Lee's favorite toy is the iPhone. I know.....

Below are a few snapshots from our little 7 month old photo shoot. We had to use some props this time but were able to get some great little smiles! Love this kid SO much!

(Mickey and a spool of thread were the props used......)
