School started back up for Lee and Phillip this week. It was as smooth of a transition for both of them as I could of imagined honestly. I was a little worried about Lee starting at his new school due to all the changes of being in a "toddler" room instead of the newborn room he was used to. For example, they no longer take naps in cribs--now its a cot that sits low to the ground. He doesn't eat lunch in a high chair but instead a table and sitting in a chair. Only one nap a day and that's scheduled to be around noon-2pm. He was such a big boy on the first day and walked right in like he'd been going for years. The director of the daycare is actually our next door neighbor which is a huge blessing in my eyes. She knows us personally now which is nice. Lee is attending the daycare on campus where Phillip is teaching college. The education students will be starting in the next couple of weeks visiting the different classes at the daycare. They will be doing lessons, music lessons, art lessons, etc.. Such a great experience for all included. :)

Lee was in quite the "picture taking" mood the morning of his first day. :)

He wanted to put on his backpack. It was a little heavier than normal due to it being the first day. He loved it though! :) Such a big boy!

His new favorite activity while being outside is smelling flowers, plants, etc.. It's adorable.

When we got to school, Lee walked right into his classroom and took his teacher's hand. He quickly found the mound of new toys to explore. He's going to have a blast this year!

Ms. Chandra is his new teacher. She has been at MUW for 18 years. She's a pro. And we love her!

I went to pick him up and he'd had a WONDERFUL day. Ms. Chandra said he did so well! I was impressed. He sat and ate lunch like the other kids and even took his first nap on his cot. She said it took a little while for him to realize he couldn't play during nap time, but once he figured that out, he ended up sleeping for 2 1/2 hours! :) Happy momma! :)

We all celebrated a successful first day by getting some yogurt before heading home.

Phillip had a great first day as well and is very excited about this upcoming school year. Can't wait to see/hear all his choirs at the first concert! :)
