Last week I found this toddler bed on a second hand store's website for only $29. I knew we had wanted to transition Lee soon (especially with #2 coming in August--planning to use the same crib...), but wasn't sure when we would. I jumped on this bed and we decided to give it a try! He has done WONDERFULLY. Last Friday night was his first night to sleep in it. Only a few issues when going to bed (mainly of just wanting to get up and walk around his room...) but within 15 minutes he was sound asleep. He slept all night and didn't wake up once. So proud!
These couple of pictures are from when he first saw it in his room. He was at school when Phillip brought it in so when he walked into his room and saw it he was SO excited. He instantly started saying "my bed", "my bed, momma!"
He wanted to take a couple books with him to bed the first night (and every night there after...). He's also gotten to take a truck and a train. Honestly what is that going to hurt, anyway?!
Although he was completely turned around by the next morning, when I went to check on him around 6am, he was still sound asleep!! Go buddy!!
The next day, nap time proved to be a little more difficult when going to bed, but he still did a great job. He fiddled with his books a little longer but before I knew it he was out like a light!
This has been one of the easiest transitions we have made thus far and honestly one I was dreading the most. I've been "warned" that this wouldn't be easy. It was an absolute breeze! Thanks buddy!
