Over the years we've come a very long way,
From serious singing to times of play.
We have added new faces and kept some old,
But we can never put behind us the moments we uphold.
Your time has come now to move on and start new,
Though, we will never forget the best teacher we knew!
You can go on now and grab life by the arm,
And we pray that God will keep you from harm.
You have done all that you can and taught all you can teach,
Now it's time for us students to stand up and preach.
You showed us what it means to sing out with our voices,
How to read music, play football, and make some good choices.
We learned how to fight our battles through music and song,
And without you we definitely wouldn't have lasted this long.
Bless you Mr. Stockton for building us up all these years,
And never losing faith through all the bad times and tears.
We certainly will not forget you as our lives move on too,
We'll just look back at our stories that all point to you.
We'll look back and reminisce on how we got by,
How we could never stop singing as hard as we'd try.
But its all thanks to you Stockton for doing your part,
And even though Ole Miss needs you now, you're still in our hearts!!
God Bless you Mr. Stockton
