A good friend of mine as asked me to make some baby items for some of her friends. Of course, I took this as an opportunity to practice some of the patterns I already have. I found this fabric at Hobby Lobby yesterday.....
This project took LOTS and LOTS of pinning. The majority of the three hours I was working on this, was pinning the satin boarder and pleated edges around the outside of the blanket...
I thought it turned out pretty cute. The front side is pictures of nursery rhymes in pretty pastel colors of pink, yellow, blue, and green. The blanket is backed in matching stripes of the same pastel colors. I was pleased with the outcome and am looking forward to making more!!
The pleated edges took a while because I had to make sure they were even and that each corner had 6 pleats. I think it adds a unique touch to the blanket. Next project...matching burp clothes!
