Many faces of Lee....

This kid's facial expressions crack me up. Here is just a look at some of his best....(at least from tonight!)

:)

Memorial Day Fun!

We had a great memorial day weekend here in Oxford. Phillip and I have vowed to stay home more lately. It's been such a nice change. We have a year left in Oxford, and we are wanting to enjoy every minute of it that we can.

My parents came to town to visit. As always, we had a great time. We enjoy having them here so much....Phillip is able to go play golf with dad and Lee and I usually go shopping with mom. We are rarely bored.

This weekend was no exception. Friday evening we went to Taylor Grocery to eat dinner. This is probably one of Phillip's favorite places to eat. Honestly, I see no difference in the fish here as opposed to any other catfish place...but Phillip does. So, we go. :)

It's such a great place to take kids. It's really loud and Lee can scream or squeal as loud as he wants and not disrupt anyone. It's such a relaxing place to take with him as we aren't paranoid that he will disrupt any one's meal. He was great throughout the whole dinner....of course! ;)

He loves his Nana and Grandad and love when they come to visit.
Although, so does his momma and daddy...free babysitters!!! :)

Lee was worn out from all the visiting....he fell asleep on the floor while I was sewing on Monday.

3 Months!

Lee turned 3 months old on May 26, 2012. We took the pictures right on time but just a few days late in posting.

Some things to remember from month 3:
-He has been sleeping pretty well. He has reverted back to sometimes waking up once during the night. We aren't sure if this is due to his tummy issues, or he's just getting a little hungry. It's not a huge deal, as we know he'll grow out of it soon.
-He had an impromptu visit to the doctor last Tuesday. He had to get put on Zantac for Acid Reflux. His daddy has it pretty bad (treated with antibiotics...) so we knew it was probably only a matter of time before Lee would have to get medicine for it. It's made a HUGE difference during feedings. Such a happy baby now!
-He's weighing in at 16lbs 8oz. which is putting him in the 95% for his age. Big boy!
-We celebrated my first Mother's Day this month. What a fun day!
-Lee is in solid 3-6 month clothes now and is in a size 3 diaper. They are a tad big right now, but he's definitely grown out of the 2's....we had no choice!
-He is still LOVING his bath time. Loves it!! Best part of his day, by far.
-Lee has gone from enjoying car rides to hating them. It's not so much the car, just his seat....hates it.
-He loves sitting in the crevasse of the couch or chair. He feels so independent....he just smiles, giggles and coo's when he's there.
-He's becoming more and more de-tached to his paci. We are thinking about taking it away all together. He doesn't have to have it and usually it's not what will calm him down when upset. We may be forcing the issue....so we've discussed lately about just taking it away now.
-He's still very easy to put to bed at night. He usually can't stay awake past about 9pm. We are still trying to figure out the perfect bed time....so we are just letting him decide when that is. It's working for us, for now!
-He's still sleeping in the cradle in our room. I'm in no hurry to transition him over to his bed.
-We switched formulas over to the Sams Choice brand. It's saving us TONS of money and just as good of stuff. He loves it...and we love saving money!
-Lee is eating between 6-7oz. per feeding. Just depends on the time of day.
-This was the first month of Lee staying at home with his daddy while I worked. They both survived....and are actually bonding so much. I love they are both able to have this experience with each other.
-Lee hates tummy time so we don't push it too much. I figure I never had "tummy time" and I have fine head control. He's got great head control as confirmed by his doctor....so we're good in that area.
-Lee met his new cousin, Emma Greer this month. They are exactly 3 months apart.....I hope Lee sets some good examples for her! ;)

I can't believe how quickly these months are passing us by. They better slow down!! I'm enjoying being his momma more and more each day. I love this age. His little personality is starting to show more and more. It seems like he is changing on a daily basis.

As always, below are some of the other "snap-shot" 3 month pictures. Nana was here to help get us to smile during this photo shoot. As usual, his facial expressions are priceless! :)

:)

I just can't get enough of this face.
He's got my heart. For sure.

Bring your baby/hubby to work day....

Ok, so maybe it was "unofficial" bring your baby/hubby to work day today. :) I had to travel over to Clarksdale for work so Philip and Lee decided to go with me. I only had one client to see and it wasn't a very long meeting at that. We ventured to downtown Clarksdale and found this wonderful restaurant (a local favorite, actually...), called Oxbow. It was wonderful!! We both had burgers, but later found out they are known for their tuna tacos. Maybe next month we can have another "unofficial" bring your baby/hubby to work day too!!

I love this picture of Lee and Phillip!! Lee's expression is priceless!

Lashes!

So we were sitting at YaYa's the other day eating some yogurt after dinner, and I noticed the sunlight was hitting Lee perfectly. I noticed his red eye lashes and how they curl at the end. Thank goodness he inherited this trait from his daddy!! Something so minor....but so pretty!! I love them! :)

Welcome Emma Greer!

We traveled over to Decatur this weekend to welcome to the family, Ms. Emma Greer Black. What a doll! She's precious! She was born on Thursday morning at 11:32, weighing 6lbs. 14oz. and 19in long! We (of course) fell right in love with her. Lee loves his new little cousin! The best way to show the weekend is through pictures (of course) so, enjoy! ;)

Beau, the "Big Brother", LOVED his gift from us!

His very own, "Big Brother" apron to help with all the diaper changes and feedings!

Us meeting sweet Emma Greer for the first time!

Lee was pretty fond of his new baby cousin!

The "Big Brother"

The "Big Cousin"

....and the (new) "Little Sister"

Lee always hates when the party has to end...saying bye to Aunt Anna and Uncle Duncan!
:(

Worn out from a day of traveling and visiting with family!

Beau was able to get some great practice helping with Lee's feedings and diaper changes. He's going to be a great big brother!!

Lee's first visit to Ma Faye's and Ray Ray's....it was for breakfast of course! His daddy's favorite memory from growing up!

The boys chillin' after breakfast!

Day 2 at the hospital. Yaya and Papa with their grandchildren!

Cousins!!

2 weeks away from being exactly 3 months apart!

We love you so much, Ms. Emma Greer! Can't wait for you and Lee to grow up together with Beau leading the way!

We love you already, EG!

Big Boy!

Don't I look like such a big boy in this picture? We have found that Lee LOVES to be independent when possible. He loves sitting on the couch or chair if we can prop him up by himself. He sat in this chair for about 15 minutes today just talking, giggling, and hanging out! What a sweet boy! After I looked at this picture though, I realized how BIG he looks. That part....I don't like!! :(

And also I thought I'd leave you with a couple pictures from after bath time tonight. ALL smiles....yet again!! :)
