Quick Gettaway!

This last weekend we took a quick get-away trip to Montgomery. The Women's Glee was going on a mini tour. Because Phillip is the student conductor for this choir, he of course had to go along. I was off work on Monday, so Lee and I decided to go as well! I realized it has been since January since I've left town other than the in-laws for one night, so I was stir crazy, ready to get out of Oxford.

The first concert was at a church in Montgomery, Sunday evening. The Powell's made the trip over from Auburn to watch Phillip conduct. Not only was it a special time for Phillip having them there, but they were also singing two of Ms. Doc's pieces (in which Phillip was conducting), so it was special for her as well!

That evening we traveled over to Auburn to meet this sweet girl!! This was our first time meeting Ms. Addie Ruth and actually getting to hold her. Talk about precious!!! We may or may not have discussed possible "arranged marriages" one day......

Lee and Addie Ruth!! They are going to be best buds.
CAN'T WAIT!!!

Baby Swap!

Phillip was very excited about taking Lee to Niffer's for the first time! Lee wasn't quite as impressed....give him just a couple years, babe. He'll love those corn nuggest just as much as you do! ;)

On our way out of town, we stopped by to get just a couple pictures. Lee was hungry and exhausted, so he wasn't in the best of moods.

That night was Lee's first night in a hotel. He (of course) did great! Slept through the night, actually!! :)

The next morning, the girls sang at The Montgomery Academy (private school). They did such a great job! This was Lee's first, official, concert! (He was in the nursery during the church concert the night before...) He didn't quite make it all the way through it....but did well!

We also stopped off at Peach Park on our way to Birmingham! If you're from the area, then you know its a "must stop" kinda place. You can't go all the way down there without getting a fried pie and basket of peaches! We also were able to eat lunch with Anna and Duncan in Birmingham as well as drive by their new house. I was ill when I realized I didn't get a single picture. Can't WAIT to go visit them in July in their new home!!!

We had a great little family get-away!! Can't wait to do again sometime this summer!!
