Skinny Miney!

No fancy diets--no weight loss programs--no expensive medical treament......just a free iPhone app and some discipline with calorie counting and exercise. My husband has lost almost 15lbs. in 2 short months!!!! Way to go, Phillip!

So proud of you and your hard work!!!

Construction Zone

Lee has absolutely LOVED his bath time from day one! I'm not sure if it's the warm water, splashing and kicking, or all of the above that he likes best. It has actually become all of our favorite time of day. That being said, I'm a sucker for bath toys.

Love them! I'm starting to feel somewhat bad for our guests that come and stay with us actually. Lee's bathtub (aka: guest bath) is QUICKLY getting filled with all different types of toys. I found the newest treasure online (because Oxford is miserable and doesn't have a Target.....new town must have one when we move) at Target for only $12!!

75 glorious pieces including a mesh bag (for organization of course....) to hang on the wall. Now I realize the age says 3 and up but that doesn't stop this momma from pulling out all the pieces and having some fun! :)

At this point in the game, Lee loves to chew on the different parts of the city.

He'll get the hang of it one day....but until then, Phillip and I will keep on building!

Love this little boy with all my heart! It's SO much fun being parents. I don't think either of us dreamed it would be this much FUN!

And the little one said "roll over!"

During play time this evening, we mastered a new skill!!!
Way to go, buddy! ;)

(sorry for the loud/motherly/obnoxious squeal....I was really proud of him!)

Look at me....

....and my new trick!

Quick Visit!

Grandparents came to visit this last weekend for a couple days. We had a great time. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I took the entire time they were here. We enjoyed the visit!

That's right! We are under the 50 day mark until kickoff for Auburn football to begin! Can't wait!! I snapped some pictures of Lee the other day playing with Aubie. I'd say he makes one cute lil' Auburn fan!

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a program you can sign your child up for to receive one free book per month. You have to "apply" and there has to be a specific program already in your area. Once you are accepted, you enter your child's age, and they gear the books towards the appropriate age group.

We have received 3 free books so far since signing Lee up for the program. Everyone receives "The Little Engine That Could" as their first book. Inside the front cover, Dolly Parton has written a letter as to why every child, no matter the age, should receive this book first. Such a fun little program! Interested? Click Here!

Favorite part of the day......

WALKS!!!!

Bananas and Sweet Potatoes

As you all know, we started solids last week with peas and pears. He loved them, once he started getting the hang of the spoon. We waited 3-4 days (for allergy concerns) and mom was able to start bananas and sweet potatoes on Friday evening. Definitely his favorite so far!!

Trying to get all the left overs from his cheeks! :)

This is what happens when we laugh mid bite. Sweet potato all over!

1st Night Away!

Friday, Phillip and I met a bunch of friends at the lake for the night. We had a BLAST! I didn't get many pictures from our time away, but mom and dad made sure to keep us updated on everything they were doing at home with Lee and the dogs. This was our first night away and to be honest, I didn't worry one time. Thanks, mom and dad! And I'm not sure what they did to my child while we were away, but Lee has slept straight through the night (no paci issues, phantom crying, bottle at 5am, ect.) for the past 2 nights. 8:45-7:15!!!

Leaving mom, dad, and baby....

Wrap up of our weekend away. Filled with fun, boating, good food, and great friends! ;)

And a wrap up of mom and dads weekend at home with the dogs and Lee! They had lots of fun napping, playing and going out to eat!

But, I'd have to say my favorite picture of the weekend is this one below. As mom and dad were leaving this morning, dad pulls out this card with all their "notes" from Lee and everything he did for the weekend. Talk about organized!!! :) I loved it and had to have it for his baby book. Love my dad....he's so detailed and "list" minded.....cracks me up!!
Thanks again, mom and dad, for coming over and being willing to keep the boy for us. I know we really had to twist your arm! ;)

Cereal for breakfast!!

We had a couple bites of cereal for breakfast this morning! Mmmmmmmm!!! We liked this much better than those nasty peas last night! :)

This was followed by his regular bottle. He is becoming more aware and interested in possible wanting to hold his own bottle. Good job, buddy!

Peas round 2!

Not too sure about this seat again!! :) We decided to try peas and a some pears last night. He did much better!

Yay!!! It was a success! About 6-8 spoonfuls of peas were consumed! Thank you, nana! You must have the special touch.

Squeal Baby, Squeal!

No peas please!

So we attempted to start solids last night!

YouTube Video

It went about as we expected. Not too well! Ha! Lee doesn't like peas (at this point in time...) and apparently may just not quite be ready for them yet. Dr. Sanford said to try it and see how he does.

He wasn't a huge fan to say the least. We'll try again tonight and see what happens. I'm obviously not going to force feed him, so if he isn't ready, we'll wait a week or so and try again later. It sure was funny to watch him though! And he was such a great little sport about it.

We got some pears at the grocery store also. We may try those tonight to see if the sweet will entice him to try eating with the spoon! We'll see....

Tongue out was pretty much the reaction the whole time! :)

I just love this kid. He's a trip and such a joy to be around almost 100% of the time! ;)

4 month check up

Lee went to visit Dr. Sanford today for his 4 month check up. After this, we don't go back until September! He had his second round of vaccines this morning and did great! By the time I picked him up off the counter and held him close he had stopped crying. Such a little trooper! He weighed in at 18.3lbs which puts him in the 93% for weight. He is 26.5 inches tall which also puts him in the 89% for height. No wonder we are wearing 6-9 month PJ's!!! :) I snapped this picture really fast while waiting on the doctor this morning. I just couldn't resist. He sure does love his daddy!

Dr. Sanford was very pleased with how he looked. He also suggested we go ahead and start some solids. He suggested we take it really slowly and allow him to enjoy eating, don't force it. After talking to my good friend who has a 6 month old, we decided to try a veggie this week and see how it goes. Phillip picked out peas to try and maybe some pears if we are feeling up to it! :)

This is our "we hate shots face"....so glad they are over for 2 whole months! But I realized as we were leaving the doctor, my "newborn" baby boy is really no longer a newborn. Time is FLYING by!!!! By the time we go back, this kid will be 6 months old!!!! Ugh.

Think positively!

At least the 100 degree weather is good for something! Our loot from the Farmers Market this morning on North Lamar. The sweet lady bagging them up said the hot weather usually makes peaches rather sweet. Fine by me! The Stockton household will soon be in the market for an ice cream maker. My mouth is watering just thinking about a big ole bowl of homemade peach ice cream! Mmmmmmmm!!! :)
