7/5/12

4th of July!

We decided to spend the 4th this year in Oxford. Although we were somewhat disappointed in Oxford's festivities, we still had a great day! We started the day off with a quick photo-shoot, of course. :)

We then got ready and went up to the square for the parade. (it was pitiful.....maybe 5 minutes long?)

At least we had this sweet boy to play with!

The best part of the parade......I love firetrucks, but really Oxford??

He thought it was pretty pitiful also.....but he did get a "lee" size Amarican Flag to wave!

After a good 2 hour long nap, we transitioned outside to the pool. This was much better than the parade. :)

All the swimming wore us out. We needed a bottle and, yet another, nap! :)

Starting to look more and more like my daddy....can you tell?!

We then transitioned into the house for dinner. Phillip had worked all day on a delicious dinner. He smoked 2 racks of ribs, a chicken and sausage. DELICIOUS!!!!!!! We had dinner with some friends of ours!

Thank you, pinterest! :)

We thouroughly enjoyed our pastel cupcakes!

After a quick wardrobe change, we headed out to see the fireworks!

Lee LOVED them! He just sat in my lap and stared up into the sky. It had been a long day, so I wasn't sure how he would act. He did GREAT! We were so proud!

We ended our day meeting Col. Reb! ;)
