Lee turned 8 months on October 26, 2012! Are you kidding? Only 4 short months away from turning one?? Couldn't be. His little personality is starting to shine more and more each day. Such a cool little kid. We're pretty much obsessed. ;)
Some things to remember from month 8:
-Lee (from what we can estimate) weighs approximately 23ish lbs. he goes to the doctor here in a couple weeks and we'll confirm that for sure.
-He is eating three meals a day with "snack" bottles in between. Except at bedtime, he gets a full 8oz'er!
-He isn't the best sleeper. Although, this in no way affects his mood during the day. He is still waking up on occasion 1 or 2 times per night. It's cool....we can handle it! This too shall pass...
-Lee has 2 teeth!! Wahoo!! When looking at his mouth, his right tooth is coming in pretty crooked. We joke that we need to go ahead and make him an orthodontics appointment!
-Lee loves pretty much all food. He has come back around to peas and pears. He hasn't really tried anything that he just despises. Well.....I take that back. The other day, he tried broccoli and cheese?? Uh yeah, it's not something we'll try again for a while. After gagging twice and vicious head shakes, I'm assuming it isn't his favorite. Ha!
-Lee is on stage 3 food mostly now. He LOVES puffs and is even starting to recognize the can when we pull it out. He uses a sippy cup like a champ and feeds himself his bottle all the time. His independence in these activities is making me one proud momma!
-He is not yet crawling but can get to all 4's and rock back an forth. He did, for the first time tonight, pull himself up on his own all the way to his feet.
-He mostly sleeps on his side or belly.
-He is in size 4 diapers.
-He is babbling constantly! He loves making the "b" sound. He is starting to realize his voice has a volume button and he is in control. It's hilarious!
-He can say "dada" and sometimes says it when Phillip walks into the room. Still waiting to hear "mama" again.
-His favorite activity during the day is still bath time. Has been since he was just a couple weeks old.
-He is OBSESSED with Mickey. Loves him. He can now recognize him in a book or magazine.
-He can now shake his head no. He doesn't do it in context but randomly will just starting saying "no"....we think its funny right now....
-Lee got to go to his very first Auburn football game this month at Jordan-Hare. Although the game sucked, we still had a great time. Thanks Mr Hanes, for treating him to his very first game!!
-Lee is in size 9-12 month clothes...but mostly leaning towards the 12 month. He's so incredible long that his little legs are outgrowing everything way to quickly!
-He loves to flip over while we try to change him. He can flip faster than anything I've ever seen!
-We don't have him on a super strict schedule. We wanted him to be flexible and be able to mesh well with all circumstances. And he does. For example, last night we were at a party until around 9pm, he did great! Happy as can be the whole time. At the point that he started getting sleepy, I picked him up and he went right to sleep in my arms. Everyone there couldn't believe how happy he was the whole time. It was great! I do not believe this affects his sleeping at night. We have friends that are on super strict schedules and their babies still wake up during the night. I honestly think its just the baby....no biggie!
At this point, I don't think I forgot anything major. He's growing up so fast. I love it and hate it all at the same time. I love the fact that his little personality is starting to shine! Hate the fact that he's growing up so fast. He's such a joy. Below are just a couple 8 month shots....enjoy!!
