Monday morning, we got up early and headed south to our soon-to-be new home! There was a rental house we wanted to look at also. This was my first time to Columbus and I loved it! It's not Oxford....but it will do.

We went to the rental property first and hated it. Back to the drawing board on trying to find a place to live. Ugh. We then went downtown and drove around. It has such a "southern" feel to it. We love it!

I, of course, spotted this beauty about a mile away! :) Anyone who knows me, knows I love to sew. Can't wait to dig through this store and find discount fabrics to make all sorts of things with.

We, being the southern red-necks we are, love us some Waffle House. Oxford doesn't have one which quickly became a strike. But...low and behold, Columbus delivered! :)

We then went to the University where Phillip will be working. We didn't know if we would be able to get inside or not. We tried the music building and it was unlocked!

Phillip and Lee outside the front of the music building. Isn't it beautiful??

The building is beautiful inside and out. This is a picture of inside the concert hall.

Phillip sitting at his new desk! He is on the 2nd floor with a beautiful view of the campus! I could definitely work there...

Mr. Lee found the piano in daddy's office. He was obsessed...

We then went over to Lee's new school. They weren't open with it being Memorial Day, but I was able to peek in the front door. Looks like he's going to have so much fun!!

This little man was cashed out on the way home. We ran around the campus, played, walked in and out of some rental homes and had a full morning. He slept all the way back home! (The 2 hour drive...)
