…but well worth the 9 hour drive! We left Jacksonville last Thursday and drove up to Moulton to spend some time with Phillip’s family. We spent the weekend playing with our sweet nephew Beau, meeting our sweet cousin Cole, and visiting with other friends and family. It wouldn’t have been a trip to Moulton without eating breakfast at Ma Fae and Ray Ray’s. Those biscuits and chocolate gravy are to die for!!! Friday night we had a party at Jan’s house to celebrate Katie’s (sister-in-law) birthday. Saturday, we got up and headed to Drew (good friend of Phillip’s) lake house and spent the day with friends out on the lake. I love getting together with all of Phillip’s friends from high school because I know how much he enjoys it. It was another busy, non-stop trip to Moulton, but worth every minute!
The wives/soon-to-be wives at the lake! :)
Meeting our sweet cousin Cole for the first time!
Our sweet nephew, Beau!
We left early Sunday morning for the long car ride back to Jacksonville. We stopped by my parent’s house for a few hours to celebrate my mom’s 50th Birthday as well as Father’s Day. About 6 months ago, my dad decided he was going to get back in shape with running and loosing weight. When he started the diet, he told Phillip that when he got to a certain weight, he was going to shave his mustache off. Well, to some this may not be a big deal, but to dad it was….he has had a mustache for 19 straight years!! This weekend he reached his target weight and Phillip (of course!) had to remind him of that comment he had made 6 months prior. Dad was a great sport and went along with it. To this day, dad has lost 40 pounds and he and mom have started exercising at least an hour, EVERY DAY!

This is what an afternoon with the kids does to Phillip and Tubs! :)
All in all we had a great time both in Decatur and Peachtree City. Every time we visit, we get more and more anxious about the day we get to move closer to family and friends! It will hopefully be here before we know it…
