5 Months!

Happy 5 months sweet baby boy (7-26)! 

I can't believe Lee is almost 1/2 a year old. Time is FLYING by. I never imagined being a mommy would be this much fun! I love it! 

Some things to remember from month 5:

-Lee got in the swimming pool for the first time this month. He LOVES the water! 

-His first "over-night" babysitters were Nana and Grandad. Phillip and I got away for the night this month to visit some friends at the lake. He did great and the grandparents LOVED having him!

-Lee celebrated his first 4th of July this month. His favorite part the whole day were the fireworks. loved them!

-Lee spent his first Sunday in the church nursery. He did ok. They said he was a bit fussy which is somewhat uncharacteristic of him. We'll try again soon! 

-Lee started solids this month. His favorites so far are bananas, peaches, and most recently squash. He tolerates peas and green beans.

-He is eating cereal with fruit mixed in for breakfast along with a 3-4oz. bottle; then eats lunch around 11:30; snack bottle around 3; dinner which includes 1 fruit and 1 veggie around 5:30 and a full bottle (7oz.) right before bed. 

-This month marks the first real "fit" that was pitched. He got mad because I laid him down on his changing table. Screamed with his hands in a balled up fist. It was hilarious!

-He is starting to become so aware of his surroundings. He is right on target with our book "what to expect the first year". We are pleased! 

-Lee has started rolling! He hasn't mastered the back to front yet but he has rolled over from his belly to back (7/24). His face was priceless after he realized he did it all himself! He felt so accomplished! ;)

-He went back to the doctor this month for his 5 month wellness visit. He got another round of vaccines. He weighed in at 18lbs 3 oz.. He's still in the 95% for weight and although I can't remember the exact measurement is still in the 95% for length as well. Big boy! 

-Lee is still obsessed with the dogs. He loves them!! His little face just brightens up when he sees them. Its great! 

-He is still in a size 3 diaper and ranges anywhere from 6-12 month clothes depending on the size and brand. 

-Phillip and I were talking this evening in that we love that it's not hard at all to make him smile. He smiles ALL.THE.TIME! I could watch him smile all day long. Love it!

-He is sitting up for about 10 seconds at a time all by himself. He will also support himself and stand if holding on to something very sturdy. 

He's such a fun baby to be around. Rarely every gets fussy! We know if he fusses there is definitely something wrong.....either a dirty diaper, he's hungry, or tired. Other than that, he's one happy baby! Has it seriously already been 5 months?! Better yet, did we really just schedule his 6 month pictures this week? Couldn't be. Time is FLYING!

(I think starting for month 6 we are going to transition to a magnetic board. He isn't going to let me continue laying these things beside him for much longer!)
